Making a booking

We have got a snazzy system to make it easy for you to make a book and efficient for us. If a date is not listed for an activity you wish to do, please drop us a message and we will do our best to see what we can do. Please note with all bookings, the balance is required before the activity commences. Please check the date and time before booking.

RESCHEDULING by you

We understand that sometimes plans change at last minute that can’t be helped. However, spaces for all of our sessions are limited and cancellations at last minute make it difficult to resell spaces.

If you require to reschedule more than 14 days in advance of your session it is possible. If you ask for a second time for a reschedule for your booking, you will be charged £50 admin fee for rescheduling. Less than 14 days and we cannot resell your session you will be charged full price for your session. Amendments cannot be made within 24 hours of the session, no refund or vouchers will be available.

I am sure you appreciate we are trying to run a small independent business and constant rescheduling affects other customers, staffing and the business as a whole.

CANCELLATIONS by you

We understand that sometimes things go wrong and there may be rare cases where you need to reschedule your session. We will reschedule, offer a credit note or refund your session(s) subject to below, and try to get you active again on the date of your choice.

Time Before Activity

Up to 15 days | 100% Refund

14 days to 8 days | 50% Refund

Less than 7 days | 0% Refund

NO SHOWS/ MISSED SESSIONS

Our sessions start promptly at the agreed time. Participants are advised to arrive 15 minutes early prior to pre-booked or instructed session start time to allow time for check-in. Money will not be returned for late arrivals, no shows, missed sessions. I am sure you appreciate we are trying to run a small independent business and no shows affects other customers, staffing and the business as a whole. We require our customers to arrive 15 minutes prior to the session start time.

Changes or cancellation by us

There may be times when we need to make necessary changes to existing bookings due to extreme weather or staff sickness (rare). In these cases we will do what we can to let you know of changes prior to the start of your session. In the event you are un-contactable prior to the session, Psyched will let you know of changes on arrival in Menai Bridge or at your activity venue, at which time we can discuss the options available. 

We are in the business of adventure, which means that if the weather changes, we sometimes need to change our programme. In the event that the session you booked is unable to take place, we will offer to reschedule you, or a credit note for you to use another time or gift voucher for you to treat others.

Can i get a refund on a gift card?

You can have a refund back onto the gift card but no money refunded.

COVID

We will reschedule your booking for free if Government legislation mean you or your group are unable to attend your session. We require notice of this within 48 hours of such legislation being announced.

All legal restrictions have now been removed as part of the prime minister’s “Living with Covid” plan. We’re unable to refund or reschedule your session if you’re unable to attend due to illness caused by covid.

WEATHER

Sadly we cannot control the weather, if we did we would be out paddleboarding every day! In the event that the weather is unsuitable, Psyched Paddleboarding will provide suitable safe alternative. In particular, customers accept that the itinerary stated in the trip details is indicative only and not a guarantee that a particular route will be followed or place reached. Whilst we endeavour to carry out our SUP sessions, minimum numbers, instructor availability and weather conditions can affect the activity. If there are weather warnings, we have to reschedule your session with us or provide you with a credit note for you to use another time or gift voucher for you to treat others. We will always contact you to advise you as soon as we are able to discuss the options with you.

Psyched Paddleboarding will meet you at the agreed paddleboarding venue, this will be confirmed 1 day prior to the activity as we need to monitor the weather forecast closely as otherwise it can affect the activity as stated above.

SESSION TIMINGS

Please ensure you arrive in time as the session starts promptly which includes briefing, distributing kit, safety briefing, instruction on the water, getting changed and tea and biscuits. If you are late, it impacts onto the session and reduces your time on the water. If you are late arriving for a group booking, we will start the activity so it does not affect others in the group and you will not be refunded.

 

Insurance & liability

Psyched Paddleboarding instructor team are knowledgeable, experienced and will always prioritise customer safety. Psyched Paddleboarding will not accept liability for personal injury sustained by participants that happen as a result of participants not following the’ instructions. We have Public Liability insurance and personal insurance is optional.

Client safety

Guests will at all times during the course, in the interest of safety promptly comply with all reasonable instructions or advice given to them by us. If they fail to comply with such instructions or advice, or have the safe ability to paddle, we reserve the right to exclude them from the session and do not accept any responsibility for any liability, loss expenses or damages arising because of their failure to comply. During the activity we will assess your skill level. If we feel your skill level is not adequate or safe before embarking on an activity, we reserve the right to exclude them from the session.

Medical form

All medical forms are required to be completed prior to getting out on the water with us. For guests who cannot swim please notify the office and instructor and they will ensure they will give you. buoyancy aid. Failure to provide completed medical forms, the activity will be cancelled.

Pregnancy

Pregnant women can partake in SUP activities. They must have a doctors or Health Practitioners written approval before partaking on sessions.   They must also be aware of the dangers (falling on board on stomach, etc injury to unborn) and they must consent they are fit and healthy and can partake in the activities.  It is also recommended pregnant women are experienced paddlers only.

Property

Your Property

We can store phones, wallets or keys whilst you are with us and it helps us if you minimise the amount of belongings to bring with you. Items left in our care are left at the owners’ own risk and personal items taken on sessions remain participants’ responsibility.

Psyched Property

In the same way that we will respect any of your property left in our care, we also expect you to take care of Psyched Paddleboarding property as we pride ourselves with high quality equipment to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable time. All equipment issued uses an efficient system to ensure any defects are flagged and logged.

Consent – Photography and Film

Please notify Psyched Paddleboarding if you do NOT consent to the use of photographs and video recordings of yourself taken by Psyched Paddleboarding.

Privacy

We consider your booking details to be confidential and will not pass on your details to a third party under any circumstances unless required to do so under law. Please note we will add your email to our database so you can be kept up to date about Psyched Paddleboarding. If you do not wish for this, please opt out.
