At the weekend, we ran a SUP micro adventure for Ani and Caroline, adventurous duo who seek new fun exciting adventures now there children have grown up.
They joined me me on the paddleboarding micro adventure around Anglesey.
We headed off onto the water with Dawn from the North Wales Wildlife Trust (Underwater Water Project). We did some training then set off on our voyage to Llanddwyn island. Dawn gave a talk about the fascinating marine and bird life we spotted along our journey.
We landed on the island at a secluded beach and had a picnic and drank herbal Pukka Tea in the sunshine. After lunch we did a bit of beach combing. We then set off back onto the Paddleboards exploring the coastline line of the island. We were lucky to spot some seals and seal pups too.
The conditions were truly perfect, felt like we were paddling boarding abroad! It was paradise, calm water, glorious sunshine! We made our way around the island and continued along the coast.
We found our secret camping spot and created a scrumptious pizza meal followed by some bubbly.
We were lucky to switch off away from social media, work and daily stresses and fully enjoy the moment. We were treated to a wonderful sunset.
We snuggled into our sleeping bags and drifted off listening to the ocean waves, bliss.
Next morning we woke up and had breakfast and packed up camp and set off on our journey home.
A perfect couple of days, reconnecting with nature, being at sea and being away from the hectic place of life.
