After finishing my 3 lakes SUP solo, I wanted to head to the coast to paddle board on the sea.
I spent the night in a fantastic campsite, all geared up for kayakers. With a superb place to launch from.
We launched the SUP and sea kayak and headed around the Isle of Seil, in some big swell, 6-10ft swell and great tidal race too! A complete contrast from the lakes. The coastline was dramastic. We even spotted some seals too. We stopped off for lunch and sat outside enjoying homemade burger in the sun.
The returning leg was hard work in strong headwind. We passed a couple a sea kayaker going the opposite way to the pub. They couldn't quite believe what I was doing. They have never seen anyone on a SUP before. They thought I was paddleboarding on a windsurfing boarding with a canoe paddle!
